Mauka Fire
(pronounced mau-ka fire) is owned and operated by the Carroll family
in Honaunau on the Big Island of Hawaii since 1988. Located atop
Mauna Loa
at seventeen hundred feet elevation, this two and a half acre piece
of land is an ideal location for coffee trees. The warm morning
sunshine and cool drizzly afternoons in combination with the islands
volcanic soil produce extra large, bright red, desirable beans.
Tropical flowers, coconuts, bananas, pineapples, oranges, lemons,
and avocados flourish in addition to coffee on the estate. This is
mostly attributed to Mauna Loa's fertile soil. At seventeen hundred
feet above sea level awesome views of the Pacific Ocean can be
experienced. The purple and orange colors of the sunset illuminate
the sky, and reflect off the ocean surface. This is the Carroll
Estate, the makers of Mauka Fire, truly a Hawaiian experience. |
